Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in operating room (OR) nursing is sought for a position in Espanola, New Mexico. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, coordinating with the healthcare team, and supervising licensed practical nurses and non-licensed assistive personnel. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work in multiple surgical departments, with floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles.

Job Details:

• Location: Espanola, NM
• Shift: Days (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification (by American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
  • Minimum two (2) years current experience required in large operating rooms
  • Must be able to scrub during procedures
  • Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Epic electronic medical record experience (preferred but not required; training can be provided)
  • Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular surgery experience are a plus
  • ACLS and PALS certifications (both required for completion, PALS preferred)
  • EENT Surgery experience, Vascular Surgery experience

Additional Information:

• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
• Clinical proficiency in orthopedic, ENT, and vascular surgeries is desirable.
• Teamwork, operating room nursing, scrubbing, and adaptability to fast-paced environments are essential skills.
