Physician opportunity in Obstetrics & Gynecology for Locum Tenens in Petoskey, MI. The role involves inpatient care with call only coverage from Aug 15, 2026 to Dec 31, 2026, including a 24-hour call schedule with 6 hours gratis. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Patients will average 1.5 deliveries per day, with a case mix focused on obstetrics including prenatal care, deliveries, C-sections, and VBAC. The facility uses Cerner as its EMR system and has two nurse practitioners available as support staff.
Hospital privileges are required. The candidate must be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, hold an active Michigan license, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in OB/GYN. Local candidates are preferred, and an NPDB report within 30 days is required at presentation.
Duties include providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, performing vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, managing prenatal and postpartum care, offering VBAC services, and supervising nurse practitioners and support staff.
