Secure Transport Driver/Officer

Job Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Shift Availability: 20-30 hours/week; Shifts may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Weekend availability preferred.
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

Who You Are:
As a Secure Transport Driver/Officer, youll be at the center of ensuring that Curaleafs delivery operations run safely, smoothly, and with a strong customer focus. Youll be the person our customers rely on to receive their products securely and on time, and youll deliver each order with professionalism, care, and strict compliance with state regulations and company policies.

Along with your delivery responsibilities, youll also play an important role in supporting on-site security operations. Youll help keep the facility safe by monitoring activity, documenting any incidents, and assisting with day-to-day safety tasks that protect our employees, customers, and products.

What Youll Do:

Delivery & Compliance (Primary Function)

• Safely transport cannabis products to customers in accordance with all company policies and state regulations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after deliveries to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
• Maintain delivery vehicles, including cleanliness, routine inspections, and reporting maintenance needs.
• Communicate delays, issues, or concerns to customers, Store Manager, and internal teams.

Security & Safety (Ancillary Function)

• Conduct interior and exterior facility patrols to identify potential security risks and ensure site safety.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and report suspicious activity or security irregularities.
• Respond to alarms or incidents, escalating to Security Manager, law enforcement, or emergency services when appropriate.
• Assist in inspecting and maintaining security systems and equipment; report any concerns or malfunctions.
• Escort unauthorized individuals from restricted areas as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation including security reports, delivery logs, and compliance-related records.

What Youll Bring:

• You have a high school diploma or GED.
• You meet the state compliance requirement of being at least 25 years old.
• You hold a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
• You bring at least 6 months of experience in a customer-facing role and enjoy interacting with people.
• Youre flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• You communicate clearly, stay organized, and juggle multiple tasks with ease.
• Youre comfortable working on your own but also enjoy being part of a team.
• You feel confident using technology, POS systems, and delivery or routing apps.
• You stay calm under pressure and can handle both routine and unexpected situations with good judgment.
• Youre ready and willing to meet all legal and company requirements for working in the cannabis industry.

Even Better If:

• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Experience in highly regulated retail environments.
• Background in delivery, logistics, risk assessment, or emergency response.
• Experience working in e-commerce fulfillment operations.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to perform extended driving periods up to 14 hours per day. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, POS systems, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position has allergen warnings including potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens and requires the ability to work in confined spaces, have a high stress tolerance, adaptability, and be flexible to work in an ever-changing environment.This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced workplace with frequent interaction with customers, management, and team members. Delivery work includes driving in various weather and traffic conditions. Security tasks may require responding to incidents, alarms, or emergencies. This position is in a high-compliance environment requiring strict attention to detail, and documentation is required.
