Job Summary:
The operating room (First Assistant) position is based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and requires candidates to work in an 8-bed unit. This role involves assisting in the operating room with a focus on first assistant responsibilities. Candidates must bring their Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of assignment. The schedule includes 8-hour shifts, with on-call rotation at the main operating room. Candidates should be prepared to start on 07/20/2026.

Job Details:

• Certifications: CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse), BLS (American Heart Association) both required and must be active
• Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years current first assist operating room experience required
• Licenses: Massachusetts RN license must be uploaded with profile and active
• Software Experience: Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities by rotation at the main operating room
• Additional Requirements:
  • Current first assist operating room experience within the past year
  • Valid supervisor signed reference from within the past two years
  • Perm address must be included in profile
  • Travelers must have their own vehicle
  • All requested time off must be included at profile upload; requests after offer may be rescinded
  • Specific availability for interviews (at least two dates/times) must be uploaded to profile
  • No scheduling requests after the time of offer will be approved
  • Residing within 50 miles of the facility disqualifies potential candidates with no exceptions
• Submission Instructions:
  • Profiles will not be presented without two specific interview dates/times
  • All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
  • Include the perm address in profile
