The Property Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and cash management services for a portfolio of real estate assets. This role involves preparing financial packages, working closely with property managers, and ensuring compliance with internal and external deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly financial statement packages, including GL and income statement reviews, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Manage bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
• Oversee cash management to ensure timely payments of utilities, taxes, mortgages, and distributions.
• Review and post cash receipts; process vendor invoices for payment.
• Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial support and analysis.
• Assist with audit processes and prepare reserve draw requests.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 14 years of accounting experience; real estate industry experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi or similar accounting software preferred.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
