About the Opportunity Our client is a private equity firm specializing in investments across energy, infrastructure, and industrial markets. Backed by significant institutional capital, the firm has built a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where compliance is viewed as a strategic partner to the business. As the platform continues to grow, the firm is seeking a senior compliance professional to serve as #2 to the GC/CCO with a direct path to take on the CCO role. Key Responsibilities Partner with senior management in the oversight and enhancement of the firm's comprehensive compliance program. Lead ongoing monitoring, testing, and risk assessment initiatives across the organization. Advise investment professionals, operating partners, investor relations, finance, and operations teams on regulatory and compliance matters. Oversee compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and business objectives. Manage regulatory filings, reporting obligations, and examination readiness. Review and approve marketing materials, fundraising documents, investor communications, and public‑facing content. Lead employee compliance initiatives, including code of ethics administration, personal trading reviews, certifications, and training programs. Monitor regulatory developments affecting private fund managers and assess potential business impact. Support compliance aspects of fundraising activities, new product launches, strategic initiatives, and vendor oversight. Prepare materials and reporting for senior management and governance committees. Serve as a key contributor to the long‑term strategic development of the compliance function. Qualifications 7-12+ years of compliance, legal, regulatory, or risk experience within private equity or private credit. Strong knowledge of SEC investment adviser regulations and private fund compliance requirements. Experience advising senior stakeholders and partnering across investment, finance, operations, and investor‑facing teams. Ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on in a lean, collaborative environment. Strong judgment, discretion, communication skills, and executive presence.
