Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Beckley, WV. This mid-level position requires a compassionate professional who can deliver respiratory care services under medical supervision, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care services across various hospital departments, adapting to specific duty assignments.
• Supervise other respiratory care practitioners and provide orientation and in-service education as needed.
• Operate independently, making decisions in accordance with approved medical policies and procedures.
• Analyze lung capacity and blood samples using advanced equipment.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
• Document and communicate patient conditions effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide appropriate respiratory treatment.
• Educate patients and families about illnesses and available community resources.
• Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.

Qualifications:

• Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care or higher.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc.
• State of West Virginia licensure.
