RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (RT) PRN DAY SHIFTS

Position PRN Respiratory Therapist – Day Shifts at AMG Specialty Hospital – Lafayette. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long‑term acute care setting. Manage respiratory failure requiring ventilation, Vapotherm, high‑flow, BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula. Coordinate sedation and pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti‑arrhythmic therapy as needed. Treat complicated infections with long‑term IV antibiotics. Address chronic non‑healing wounds with wound VACs and frequent dressing changes. Communicate with physicians, charge nurses, and co‑workers regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision. Job Requirements Completion of an approved respiratory care program. Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. Minimum of one to three years of related work experience. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Benefits Competitive pay and benefits available in the Lafayette market.
