Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise GIS architecture and technical solutions
- Define architecture for spatial databases, GIS servers, networking, storage, and integrations
- Evaluate and optimize GIS database and infrastructure performance
- Support GIS security, governance, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity requirements
- Develop automation and integrations using Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, and related technologies
- Ensure GIS solutions align with enterprise architecture standards
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions
- Support Agile delivery, SDLC activities, architecture reviews, and technical documentation
Experience Required
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise GIS architecture
- Experience with GIS servers, networking, load balancing, storage, and infrastructure
- Experience with disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes
Skills & Certifications
- Spatial databases and RDBMS technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, or similar platforms
- Python, JavaScript, REST APIs for scripting and automation
- Security architecture, governance, and enterprise security frameworks
- Enterprise architecture governance
- Consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership
Eligibilities & qualifications
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work across GIS technology, databases, cloud/infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture domains
- Willingness to work onsite in Dallas, TX
