Retail Bike Technician

Overview The Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. The Bike Technician builds and repairs bicycles according to established procedures, provides product recommendations, offers passionate customer service, sells bikes and related merchandise, and promotes company programs. Key responsibilities include: Build and repair bicycles following company procedures. Assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed. Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage for the Bike Department. Promote warranty sales, loyalty programs, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions. Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all company information. Support team members across the store and perform other tasks as assigned. TeamMate Traits Ensures Accountability Customer-Focus Collaborative Instills Trust Decision‑Quality/Decision‑Making Abilities Action‑Oriented Qualifications Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles (preferred). Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15–35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour). Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking. Targeted pay range: $16.50–$24.50 (starting rate may vary by location, experience, and position).
