If so, the Division of Correctional Health Services is seeking to hire individuals with good attention-to-detail to work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Job Responsibilities Preparing, maintaining, and organizing unit dose cubies for our automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) and canisters for our pharmacy filling machine/robot (DOSIS) Entering/typing prescriptions in our pharmacy software Filling prescriptions manually Receiving and verifying delivery of daily orders from wholesalers Preparing and mailing prescriptions to patients at alternative locations, cleaning equipment and work areas Coordinating with nursing in problem solving issues concerning patient prescriptions Ordering and maintaining inventory of medications, both virtually and physically, including controlled substances to ensure their security. Cleaning, sterilizing, and/or disinfecting areas and/or equipment. Training new pharmacy staff An offer of employment will be contingent on the applicant successfully passing a DHHS background check, pre‑employment drug testing, and a Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) background screening. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
