Job Profile Summary The User Experience Researcher provides insights into the user experience, helping product and design teams create user‑friendly products based on user feedback rather than assumptions. The role involves usability tests, expert evaluations and in‑depth research interviews to create personas, customer journey maps, process flows and more. The position reports to the Director of User Experience Research and Design. Responsibilities Lead user research to uncover insights and opportunities, understand needs and expectations, and test design solutions. Collaborate with partners, designers, product managers and developers on research activities, strategy sessions, brainstorming, design and testing of new concepts. Establish a research portfolio aligned with SNHU’s customer experience strategy and performance indicators. Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, coordinating scope, timeline and partners in detailed project plans. Develop well‑crafted research plans with clear goals. Conduct usability sessions and quantitative surveys. Conduct partner and client interviews. Create prototypes using Figma or similar technology. Identify insights by analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. Translate insights into recommendations for digital and physical products, services and spaces, providing a pipeline of data for product teams. Create communication tools to share insights with development teams. Present research findings to the larger team in a clear and organized fashion. Implement a research strategy by collaborating with product teams, CX team members and partners to identify research goals and priorities. Stay informed about competitor products, industry trends and CX trends inside and outside higher education to understand consumer expectations and opportunities for further research. Qualifications Three years of experience in research, user experience or human‑centered design. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research. Experience working within diverse, cross‑departmental teams. Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills and ability to present ideas. Interest and experience with people and cultures. Critical thinking skills in a hyper‑fluid operating environment. Experience optimizing customer experience and delivering measurable improvements. Excellent customer service abilities. Proficiency with PowerBI. Experience with D2L Brightspace. Experience with data reporting and visualization. Compensation The annual pay range for this position is $70,729.00 – $113,188.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range: $78,155.00 – $105,739.00.
