Tasks will include learning the basic analysis software, running VERITAS software on data sets and developing analysis code as needed. The research assistant will participate in summarizing the research in articles and presentations.Job Description:Primary duties and responsibilities include:Learn the VERITAS data analysis softwareLearn gamma-ray analysis software as advised by the PIAnalyse data from VERITAS ObservatoryAssist in the dissemination of scientific resultsAbility to work independentlyNo remote work. Coming to campus will be requiredPerform additional duties as neededPay: $30/hrmaximum 27 hours per weekSkills, Qualifications & Requirements:Minimum degree required: Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Physics or Astronomy or Astrophysics.Prior research experience is desired but not required.
