About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry remote monitoring experience required. Description: Practice as a registered nurse in a medical telemetry and stroke specialty unit. Work a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Be aware that flexible scheduling is required. Float to various facilities may be necessary. Provide care for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, with specialized care in stroke patients. Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6. Conduct monitoring and management of telemetry patients. Perform accessing and management of ports, blood product administration, and central line care/management. Start and maintain IVs. Provide wound care and wound vac management, and adhere to isolation precautions. Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition. Have familiarity with feeding tube care and management. Support patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Education verification through a third party is required. Candidates must be prepared to pass a required EKG exam during compliance. A robust compliance file must be completed by the designated deadline.
