Cook Room Associate

As a Cook Room Associate at Carolina CoPacking, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food products in a large-scale manufacturing setting. Your primary duty will be to ensure that all food products are cooked to perfection and meet our company's high quality standards. This is a full-time position at our facility located in Henderson, North Carolina. It is an individual contributor role working as part of a team of skilled professionals. The compensation for this position is $17 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of food products according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain cooking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Monitor and record cooking temperatures and times to ensure food safety and quality.
• Label and store cooked food products in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory and stock management in the cook room.
• Adhere to production schedules and meet all deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Three years cook and or food service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a food production or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
