What You'll Do

• Provide routine and complex preoperative and postoperative nursing care in the OR setting.
• Assist with surgical procedures across various specialties, including orthopedics, podiatry, urology, and general surgery.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety.
• Document patient histories, procedures, and care activities accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members to ensure smooth surgical workflows.
• Respond promptly to intraoperative patient needs and emergencies.
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and compliant environment throughout procedures.

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or valid compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in surgical or OR settings.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The OR staff provide critical support for patient care throughout various surgical interventions, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent outcomes. The position offers an 8-hour mid-shift Monday through Friday schedule, with opportunities for on-call duties and floating between campuses as needed.
