Controls Engineer (Automation & Manufacturing Systems)

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support automation and production system initiatives. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and validating control systems, supporting automated equipment, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and automated equipment.
• Support system integration, commissioning, testing, and validation activities.
• Develop controls documentation, electrical drawings, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and support risk assessment activities.
• Analyze production issues and implement continuous improvement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and control systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, system validation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industrial communication networks and safety standards is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, project leadership, and communication skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
