Since 1995, PRI Plus has specialized in manufacturing label constructions engineered to perform across a wide range of Label Printing Industry applications.

PRI Plus is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, understands production processes, and can effectively manage people, equipment, materials, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure production targets, customer deadlines, and quality expectations are consistently met.
• Coordinate production schedules, materials, and equipment availability to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor production performance and make adjustments to minimize downtime and production delays.
• Work closely with multiple departments to learn how machines operate and maintain smooth workflow.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Leadership & Employee Management

• Provide direct leadership and supervision to production employees.
• Establish clear expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, safety, and accountability.
• Conduct weekly production meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Assist with employee training and cross-training.

Quality Control & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure products are manufactured according to established specifications, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Work with the quality control to identify and resolve defects, rework, scrap, and customer quality concerns.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvement plans when performance falls below expectations.

Safety & Facility Operations

• Promote a safety-first culture throughout the production department.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure production equipment is properly maintained and operating reliably.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
• Support preventive maintenance planning to reduce unexpected equipment downtime.

Cost Control & Operational Performance

• Monitor production efficiency, scrap, material usage, and other production-related expenses.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability without compromising safety or quality.
• Review daily and weekly production reports to measure performance against established goals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, and manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage performance, and hold employees accountable.
• Experience with quality control, workplace safety, and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience working with ERP systems to manage production schedules, inventory, material requirements, as well as proficiency in Microsoft.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours when production demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

•Experience managing multiple production lines, departments, or shifts.

•Success improving productivity, reducing scrap, and controlling labor costs.
