What You Will Do The Lead Person provides direction for the sanitation crew within a designated area of the plant. This position is trained in multiple jobs, can assist training team members, and provides support as requested by the area supervisor. Typical duties include: Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed. Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant and meet with the Supervisor regularly to address issues, including missing or damaged parts and equipment. Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in the designated area of the plant. Ensure team members are completing tasks to QA and USDA standards. Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections. Handle chemicals within specified limits. Monitor and provide personal protective equipment (PPE). Other duties as assigned. Your Must Haves Must be 18 years of age or older. Leadership and decision-making skills are required. 6 or more months of experience in sanitation and/or the food processing industry. Ability to take direction and be accountable for own actions. Safety awareness and attention to detail. Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations. Our Environment This position involves exposure to a wet, hot, and/or cold environment while wearing PPE. Shift may vary by location.
