You also receive a 15% pay differential on top of base pay! Schedule : 7:45am-4:30pm, As needed and variable. Education Qualifications Must have satisfactorily completed a 12 or 24 month Radiation Therapy Technology Program Required Licenses and Certifications Radiation Therapist - ARRT Required Basic Life Support - BLS/RQI Required within 90 days of hire Experience Qualifications 1 year Experience in a major cancer center or equivalent field. Preferred Summary of Responsibilities Works as a liaison between patient, radiation oncologist and other clinical staff. Acquire MV, KV, CBCT imaging of patient per directions of Radiation Oncologist to determine the exact location of the area requiring treatment. Explains treatment plans to the patient and answers questions about treatment. Implements and delivers a planned course of treatment with high professional standards for patient positioning, immobilization, documentation and patient comfort. Follows safety procedures to protect the patient and themselves from overexposure to radiation. Constructs and/or prepares immobilization devices, beam directional devices and any other treatment aids, which facilitate treatment delivery. Serves as a source of support and encouragement for each individual patient and their families. Interacts and evaluates honestly and fairly with all students placed within the department. Instructs appropriately and consistently, according to department treatment procedures, to benefit and advance the profession.
