Clinical Applications Engineer

Clinical Applications Engineer at Intuitive Surgical in Columbus, OH supports early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems. The role involves training clinical users, providing procedural guidance, and delivering technical expertise to healthcare facilities implementing new technology.

Responsibilities

Provide procedural support to new robotic surgery sites ensuring safety and effective progression
Train physicians and clinical staff on equipment use during clinical procedures
Identify adoption barriers and collaborate with training partners to address them
Maintain communication across global engineering teams and share product feedback
Stay current on product instructions, best practices, clinical literature, and troubleshooting

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of technical or clinical healthcare experience
Hospital navigation and procedure support experience required
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
Experience with complex technical systems or critical patient care settings
Ability to travel up to 70% and work nights/weekends as needed
Self-starter with strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage large datasets and translate into actionable insights
