Interventional Radiology RN - Patient Care & Procedures

Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) Work Location: 2235 Enterprise Drive, Ste 3510, Westchester. Starting range: $45.00 - $60.00 hourly. Assists physician during procedures. Completes patient assessment and monitors patients during procedures and post‑care. Conducts patient education before tests and follows up when necessary. Starts and maintains IV lines. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs. Safely administers moderate sedation and medications ordered by clinicians. Submits prescriptions and refills to pharmacies per licensed clinician orders. Assists in onboarding or cross‑training of team members. Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions. Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and maintains stock levels. Communicates physician treatment plans, including lab/imaging results, to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR. Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to high standards of ethical conduct and complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including HIPAA regulations and the Solaris Health Code of Conduct. Certifications, Licensures or Registry Requirements RN license and certification as required by state. BLS certification required; ACLS required. Certified Radiology Nurse preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions. Builds relationships with patients and displays empathy and compassion. Knowledge of healthcare systems operations such as EMR. Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Takes responsibility for own actions and is forthright about errors or uncertainty. Handles stressful and constantly changing conditions. Education Requirements Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum one year Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred.
