Legends designed, built and operates Sky View Observatory ("SVO"), an innovative guest experience on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center. SVO will set a new standard in the observatory experience in Seattle. Breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views including Mt. Rainier, Bellevue.

The Role

A Cook is responsible for the food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to the customer facing employees for service. Essential functions include:

• Maintaining a professional, positive attitude while delivering high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment
• Executing opening and closing procedures, including prep, sanitation, and end-of-day reconciliation
• Following daily prep lists and timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
• Preparing food according to standardized recipes while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including storage spaces and equipment
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of menu offerings, including specials and dietary considerations
• Collaborating with kitchen staff, supervisors, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service
• Monitoring inventory levels, completing weekly counts, and recommending items for ordering
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational standards at all times
• Adapting to changing assignments and supporting different areas based on business needs
• Working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (culinary degree or certification preferred)
• 24 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or food service environment
• Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks while working under pressure in a dynamic setting
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, clean and professional appearance, dependability, and punctuality
• Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and menus, along with basic math and communication skills in English
• Team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and ability to perform in a high-volume kitchen environment with close collaboration among staff
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking long distances, and the ability to lift, carry, push, and move items weighing at least 30 pounds
• All team members are expected to follow company safety policies and procedures and complete all required safety training

Compensation

$23.00 Hourly
