Personal Choice Investment Services (PCIS), within Workplace Services (WS), provides the leading industry Personal Choice Retirement Account (PCRA) and Health Savings Brokerage Account (HSBA) through Charles Schwab & Co. PCIS is growing rapidly by providing PCRA & HSBA to Schwab Retirement Plan Services and the rest of the retirement and health savings industries. As a Senior Agile Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Workplace Services platforms, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that empower our clients. Key Responsibilities Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and goals, translating them into actionable product roadmaps that align with Schwab’s business and technical objectives. Backlog Management: Own, groom, and prioritize the product backlog—including creation of user stories and Epics—to ensure the team focuses on delivering the highest value items. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between customers, business stakeholders, and the development team, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle. Development Collaboration: Work closely with developers to clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure delivered features meet expectations and quality standards. Acceptance & Validation: Review and accept completed work (sprint increments) to ensure quality and alignment with the product vision and goals. Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Work with stakeholders to make decisions and negotiate compromises. Communicate effectively at both executive and team levels, mediating and resolving conflicts as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a technology related field. 7-9+ years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments, with a proven track record of delivering digital products. SAFe certified. Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading Agile teams. Demonstrated ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and translate them into actionable work for development teams. Strong experience in backlog management, user story creation, and prioritization based on business value. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into user stories and serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, development, QA, and operations. Proven ability to review and validate sprint deliverables, ensuring alignment with product goals and quality standards. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes. Preferred Qualifications Certified Product Owner. Financial industry Experience; familiarity with brokerage accounts, trading. Strong facilitation skills and ability to drive necessary outcomes in dynamic environments.
