Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | $30-$45/hr | Contract to Hire | Hybrid (Minneapolis, MN) Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records across multiple functions. You will play a key role in ensuring transactions are processed efficiently, reconciliations are completed accurately, and critical financial processes continue to run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to contribute within a collaborative accounting team. Who You Are: 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to a variety of accounting functions Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities Familiarity with payroll processes and employee expense reporting is a plus Comfort learning new systems, processes, and technologies in a changing environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Team-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating and supporting cross-functional needs What You'll Do: Process and maintain accurate financial transactions related to payables and receivables Assist with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end accounting activities Support payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate recordkeeping Review and process employee expense reports and company spending activity Help maintain financial data integrity and support system and process improvements Collaborate with accounting leadership and team members on special projects and operational needs Diversity Statement We actively support and promote people of various backgrounds, from race, religion, and gender to geographical area, university, lifestyle, and personality types.
