Financial Analysis - Partner Card Finance - Senior Associate

Job Description

Join the Chase Partner CFO team for an exciting opportunity to be strategic finance partner and trusted advisor to the Co-Branded Credit Card business. You will have the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of existing processes and ad hoc business cases, while also becoming the subject matter expert on finance-related components of our Co-Branded Credit Card agreements.

As an Associate on the Chase Partner CFO team, you will partner closely with key finance teams and business partners to deliver strategic and financial objectives. In this role, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the credit card and payments industry including business strategy, competitive landscape, product rewards structures, macro-economic impacts, and P&L drivers.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the components and drivers of the Credit Card P&L to help drive insights and analytics on the financial performance of card portfolios
• Act as trusted advisor to General Manager (GM) teams on product development, special offers, and investment analytics
• Collaborate with GMs and their teams, as well as with the Co-Brand CFO, on the creation/communication of planning and forecasting activities including new accounts, key revenue drivers, and non-interest expenses
• Meet regularly with GM teams / Partners to review actual financial performance and discuss risks/opportunities to budgets/forecasts
• Create presentation materials on financial results and ad hoc initiatives to Partner GM teams, the President of Co-Brand, as well as senior leaders within the finance organization
• Partner with Co-Brand CFO to consolidate and distribute monthly reporting and ad hoc requests to various internal groups (e.g., P&A)

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
• 7+ years of analytical or finance experience (Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Management, Controller or Accounting)
• Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills, excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts, has the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with desire of using both in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; ability to present, lead, support and influence senior management and business development in deal process
• Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo
• Superior organizational and process skills, attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work dynamically within a large, matrixed organization.
• Comfort in working with ambiguous objectives / goals
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various AI tools

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Credit Card / Consumer Finance background preferred
