Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer

Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer at Becton Dickinson responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment for medical device production. The role focuses on optimizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics through technical expertise in mechanical systems, controls, and process automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement improvements to high-speed automated manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on automated equipment across multiple technology platforms
- Resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming issues affecting equipment performance
- Support corrective and preventive action activities with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Maintain flexible schedule including third shift (10pm-6am), weekends, and overtime coverage
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in highly automated environments
- Proficiency with FANUC and Stäubli industrial robots for pick-and-place applications
- Strong expertise in Rockwell Automation and Siemens automation software platforms
- Knowledge of servo motion control systems and vision system programming
- Bilingual English and Spanish capability highly desired
