JOB DESCRIPTION

We're seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform, working across Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow. The role blends strong coding skills with declarative configuration expertise, supporting mission-critical public sector missions. You should also have strong data migration experience and be comfortable extracting from third party tools. Throughout, you'll apply best practices to ensure high-quality, secure, and performant implementations. Working closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, you'll deliver tailored, compliant solutions for clients, focusing on Public Sector.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and enhance Salesforce solutions using primarily out-of-the-box capabilities, with an emphasis on scalable, maintainable platform design.

• Support implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud for investigative case management, including case intake, case routing, workflows, queues, approvals, service processes, and reporting.

• Configure and support a Salesforce Experience Cloud portal to enable secure external-user access, engagement, and self-service functions.

• Build and maintain declarative Salesforce solutions using Flow, validation rules, approval processes, page layouts, Lightning record pages, custom objects, fields, reports, and dashboards.

• Assess requests for custom development and clearly identify when Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations, or other custom-code solutions are required.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce functionality in accordance with approved change-control, security, and release-management processes.

• Own data migration, and data quality tasks, creating a Data Migration plan prior to executing migration.

• Support data governance, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and production readiness activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including configuration workbooks, solution designs, release notes, test evidence, and user-support materials.

• Work directly with customer stakeholders in a fast-moving, small-team environment and communicate technical decisions in clear business terms.

• Manage DevSecOps pipeline

• Partner with the Project Manager, Cloud Architect, business analysts, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into Salesforce configuration and technical solutions.

• Participate in requirements refinement, solution design, user-story development, backlog grooming, and sprint planning as needed.

• Support security, authorization, and compliance activities as needed, including documentation and evidence required for the Authority to Operate (ATO) process.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Develop efficient and scalable code following best practices and industry standards.

• Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and debug Salesforce applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

• Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for enhancing development processes and applications.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting Salary Range for Salesforce Developer: $120,000 - $135,000

Basic Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate experience supporting Salesforce platform(s) within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

• 1-3 years of strong data migration experience, extracting data from third party tools and mapping it cleanly into Salesforce objects.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of three (3) years of Salesforce Development

Work Environment:
