Position Overview Level of Experience: Senior Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT) Work days/hours: M - F day shift Duration: 12 Months Total Hours/week: 40 Shift: 1st Shift Hybrid Role: 3 days in the office weekly, 2 days remote Location: Sparks, MD Client & Category Client: Medical Devices Company Job Category: Finance Job Description Key business partner to R&D VP with ability to influence key decisions Manage R&D IDS Budget of $220M with spend spread across multiple regions & locations Provide financial support and guidance to IDS R&D organization of ±800 associates across 7 main locations and budget maintained across more than 200 cost centers Manage by project spend, including labor, clinical trials, consulting, materials and all other costs Support Global FP&A processes including budgeting, strategic planning, actuals and estimates Assist with the development of a global reporting package & associated commentary Develop and maintain key Finance dashboards for R&D and Finance leadership Assist with consolidated R&D project prioritization and metrics Perform cash flow analysis related to R&D projects & strategic initiatives Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice Prepare, examine, and/or analyze accounting record, financial statement, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems BPC and Power BI super-user responsible for creating value add reports and ad hoc analysis Prepare the annual US R&D Tax Package, provide R&D spend support to Transfer Pricing team and support Quebec SR&DE tax credit and audits as needed. Support R&D Capital Budget and processes from CB2 approval to asset in service. Various ad-hoc reporting & analysis Key Attributes Detail oriented individual with strong systems ability, including BPC, Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities with sense of urgency and energy Strong organizational & communication skills Ability to provide value add analysis to support decision making and also challenge R&D leaders Team player who often will act as consolidator of analysis & reporting for global IDS business Ability to work independently with R&D leadership Education 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance Experience 5-10 years Certifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
