Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30/3:00 p.m. ET
Salary: $68,000–$100,000 annually
Annual Bonus: 10%

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead electricians and mechanics and oversee the repair, maintenance, and safe operation of molding equipment and auxiliary machinery. Industrial maintenance experience is required; injection molding experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise daily work assignments for electricians and mechanics.
• Oversee and participate in repairs and preventive maintenance for injection molding equipment, chillers, thermolators, dryers, compressors, granulators, blending machines, and related equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues and perform troubleshooting and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain spare parts and supplies inventory and submit purchase requisitions.
• Lead department meetings, training, employee development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
• Support hiring, compensation, and disciplinary decisions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping.
• Support quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish goals for direct reports and monitor performance.
• Remain available for 24-hour call and work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising or leading maintenance personnel.
• Industrial maintenance experience required; injection molding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plant safety, machine tools, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Forklift operation experience and required certification.
• Strong communication, math, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours when needed.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands and fingers.
• Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Perform repetitive hand and wrist activities.
• Work safely around industrial machinery and manufacturing operations.
