Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Day and evening shifts available. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to stay past scheduled shift to complete the day's procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms.

Highlights:

• Provide specialized care for patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation using RN-driven assessment approach based on Ramsay Sedation Scale
• Manage all levels of patient care including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Work at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma Center recognized as a leading teaching and referral institution
• Epic EMR experience required with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with opportunities for high-acuity bedside procedures in ICU and ED settings

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin RN license or compact state license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in endoscopy or procedural sedation specialty
• Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Recent hands-on experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy)
• Proficiency in administering and monitoring moderate sedation, including Propofol and Versed
• Epic charting system experience required
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, no errors on 3rd degree heart blocks, 80% overall score)
• Flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong airway management skills and interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias
