Environmental Test Technician

An established consulting firm is looking to add an Environmental Test Technician to their team! This role will offer comprehensive training and an opportunity for advancement to a Test Engineer I role within the first 6-12 months. Candidates must be comfortable with travel and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of industrial clients

• Record and analyze data, collect samples

• Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing

• Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures

• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols

• Organize and prepare equipment for upcoming projects

• Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is preferred

• Previous experience working in a field-based / hands-on role

• Experience using scientific instruments to run tests, collect samples and record data

• Team player with strong initiative

• Ability to travel during the work week

• Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Additional Information:

• Typical travel projects require 2-5 days out of town during the standard work week (Monday through Friday)

• Frequent overtime when working in the field, paid at 1.5x rate

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
