Store Manager

Role Overview Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures effective opening and closing, monitors sales and expenses, and maintains a safe, organized environment. Key Responsibilities Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws. Communicate performance, conduct, safety expectations; conduct meetings to promote safety and policies. Analyze operating statements to identify trends and control expenses. Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and merchandise presentation. Maintain store security, cash handling accuracy, and adherence to company policies. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment. Complete all required documentation accurately and timely. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures; perform basic math. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and employee counseling with legal compliance knowledge. Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is a plus. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 40-55 pounds, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing.
