Instructors will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering highly sophisticated, technical, hands‑on training solutions to meet mission‑critical needs of our customers. Work Schedule Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40‑hour work week, normally Monday through Friday, though times and days may vary depending on business requirements. The instructor must be available to work overtime during critical peaks and to meet last‑minute overtime requests. Essential Responsibilities Act as a subject‑matter expert through lecture and lab work, coaching students to meet certification standards and succeed in mission‑critical scenarios. Prepare students to meet mission‑critical needs of customers. Monitor student performance on practical exercises and provide feedback. Use virtualization technology to simulate real‑world scenarios and create an immersive cyber environment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to recommend updates to course content, training materials, and documentation. Research, document, and test security solutions for emerging technologies, security methodologies, and CNE concepts. Support the development of comprehensive, tactically relevant operational training, including design, development, and implementation of training exercises and scenarios. Maintain knowledge of the course maps and update them as courses evolve. Create and update detailed schedules for courses. Other Responsibilities Support a safety culture: complete all training, fulfill self‑aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participate in emergency response, and serve on safety committees. Maintain quality: comply with the Amentum Quality Policy and all related quality, environmental, and customer contracts. Implement and follow operational, safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Adhere to drug‑free workplace and complete required drug screening. Minimum Requirements Knowledge of creating and configuring virtual hosts and networks using VMware for real‑world scenarios. Experience with scenario development and interactive virtual learning module creation using VMware VSphere, VMware VCenter, Moodle Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, or shell scripting). Administration experience with Unix, Unix variants, and Windows servers. Ability to perform trend analysis of student performances and recommend course improvements. Security clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Integrated Systems & Design, Education, Information Systems, Cyber Engineering, or related field preferred; additional experience may substitute for a degree. Minimum five (5) years of experience in development, testing, deployment, operations, training, or maintenance of electrical/electronic/software systems. An additional three (3) years may substitute for a bachelor’s degree for a total of eight (8) years. Preferred Qualifications Experience in system design, including general networking systems. Effective communication, writing, documentation, and requirements gathering skills. Experience as a trainer or course developer for cyber courses. Ability to provide recommendations for technical solutions to complex problems. Experience mentoring junior team members.
