Program Aide

Milestone Centers, a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a Program Aide.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the program team in implementing program plans
• Providing personal care assistance to clients
• Demonstrating commitment to the mission and values of Milestone
• Utilizing Sanctuary Model's shared values, the Seven Commitments and tools
• Assisting in the design and implementation of group and individual instruction
• Providing behavioral supports
• Providing personal assistance, including lifts and transfers
• Completing all required paperwork within assigned timeframes
• Promoting skill growth and independence of clients
• Acting as a role model for positive client behavior
• Assisting the program with identifying and maintaining community involvement activities for clients
• Transporting clients by vehicle (PA driver licensed staff only)
• Maintaining and organizing the work area
• Addressing clients' unmet safety or welfare needs apparent during program hours
• Performing relevant and reasonable work assigned by the Director
• Maintaining a safe/healthy environment
• Participating in meetings/trainings as assigned by Supervisor
• Assisting in training and mentoring new staff with day-to-day responsibilities

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma/GED and one year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities or in another care-giving role
2. Valid PA driver's license, if transporting
3. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Reports results
4. Act 33 and Act 34 clearance
5. CPR
6. First Aid
7. Medication Administration (trained staff only)
8. 24-hour training per year

Minimum Compensation USD $17.00/Hr. Maximum Compensation USD $17.00/Hr.
