Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Pay Range: $33 - $52 per hour. Position Summary The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) serves as the organization’s early childhood development champion, supporting physicians and patients. Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Performs physical examinations on pediatric patients to establish baseline health profiles. Assists in the administration of routine diagnostic/laboratory studies, clinical and therapeutic procedures. Develops nursing diagnoses and implements treatment plans based on advanced assessment and established practice guidelines. Supports family planning programs for pregnant mothers, guiding expectations for newborn care and pediatric visits. Collaborates with providers to reinforce early childhood development surveillance and integrate findings into care for patients up to age five. Educates and trains staff on early childhood development basics, developmental screenings, and related topics. Participates in and hosts community outreach events to raise awareness of early childhood development. Conducts mobile screenings at TCA’s WIC program sites. Works with the Medical Director to develop evidence-based policies and protocols that embrace the whole child and their family. Facilitates referrals and follows up with families as needed. Completes required reports for the Director of Clinical Services. Participates in TCA Healthcare’s performance improvement activities. Exhibits a positive attitude, good work ethic, and strong teamwork skills. Provides excellent internal and external customer service. Adheres to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations including HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. Maintains a professional appearance and attire. Ensures punctual and reliable attendance at the assigned work location. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Active Illinois License in good standing (RN, APRN, Control Sub). Completion of an accredited School of Nursing program. Master’s degree as a clinical nurse specialist. Active DEA Registration or ability to obtain one. Current BLS certification. Previous experience in a public health setting preferred.
