Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.

Skill(s): Proficient mechanical skills, 12-volt wiring skills and hydraulic plumbing skills; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; demonstrated interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills including Office products; and visual and auditory skills.

Working Conditions: Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; operating heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment; working at elevated heights or in confined spaces; exposure to loud environment.

Experience: Previous employment in related field preferred.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for reading work orders and assembling truck in time allotted by coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

This position is classified as safety sensitive. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the companys drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Individuals in this role are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, consistent with applicable law and company policy. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Essential Duties

1. Performs a variety of duties to support the assembly department as follows:

1. Clock information job number.
2. Assemble truck using basic hand tools and power tools using instructions given.
3. Communicate issues with supervisor and parts attendant.
4. Assist in training new employees.
5. Work with hand tools and power tools.
6. Operate overhead crane.
7. Must be able to work with a partner.

1. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information, parts, materials and procedures.

1. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

1. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the companys compliance with all regulatory requirements.

1. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.

1. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

Ancillary Duties

1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Compensation details: 19.5-22 Yearly Salary
