Associate Scientist

Associate Scientist position in Analytical R&D at Pfizer's Chesterfield, Missouri facility, developing and applying analytical methods to support biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotide process development. The role involves method development, troubleshooting, and data documentation in a regulated research environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, and apply analytical methodologies for biotherapeutic and vaccine process development
• Perform method development, transfer, verification, and qualification in support of formulation development
• Execute quality assessments, impurity detection, and product characterization testing
• Document analytical results in technical reports and maintain compliance with corporate guidelines
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field
• Proficiency with common AI tools including generative technologies for problem-solving
• Laboratory experience in analytical techniques such as colorimetric, HPLC, and electrophoresis
• Ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision
• Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Experience with large molecule analysis and laboratory information management systems preferred

Compensation: $60,200–$100,400 base salary; eligible for 7.5% bonus target
