Position Overview
SH Management is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a diverse, multi-state portfolio of affordable housing communities. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep knowledge of Section 8 and Tax Credit properties, strong financial acumen, and proven experience navigating compliance and regulatory oversight.
The Regional Property Manager will provide operational leadership, ensure financial performance, maintain compliance standards, and support on-site teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of multiple properties across 8 states
- Travel regularly to assigned sites to support, audit, and guide on-site management teams
- Ensure compliance with Section 8 , LIHTC , and other affordable housing program requirements
- Lead and respond to MORs (Management and Occupancy Reviews) and NSPIRE inspections
- Review and analyze property financials, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
- Drive NOI performance while maintaining compliance and resident satisfaction
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management for Property Managers
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership on strategic planning and portfolio performance
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective action plans when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Regional Property Management experience (required)
- Strong background in affordable housing , including:
- Section 8
- Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties
- Proven experience handling MORs and NSPIRE inspections
- Advanced understanding of property financials, budgeting, and reporting
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across multiple states
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
