Contract | 13 or 26 Weeks | Nights, 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
• Manage a patient population that may include inductions, high-risk antepartum, and third-trimester testing, with average daily deliveries around 7 and census reaching up to 14 patients
• Perform OB triage assessments and support third-trimester testing patients as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing needs
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or training provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted for submission, but license must be in hand prior to offer
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; first-time travelers accepted
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in a Labor & Delivery or OB setting
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Familiarity with high-risk OB patient populations and antepartum care
