JOB SUMMARY: The Cashier is responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently while providing quality customer service and safeguarding company assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide quality customer service Memorize PLU codes and maintain updates on new produce Handle customer cash, credit and change transactions Identify merchandise that does not scan Bag groceries Assist shelving, stocking and dusting when needed Other duties as assigned by management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, basic math, reasoning skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls. Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
