Position Highlights Competitive Pay: $30/hour $1,900 Weekly Stipend Housing Provided Travel Assistance Provided Opportunity to serve Tribal Communities Split role between OB and Inpatient Nursing Gain valuable rural and remote healthcare experience Supportive, mission-driven healthcare team Adventure of living and working in Arctic Alaska Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health status Educate patients and families on prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care Assist with labor support, delivery procedures, and postpartum recovery Provide compassionate inpatient nursing care when assigned outside the OB unit Collaborate with physicians, midwives, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation Deliver culturally sensitive, patient-centered care Qualifications Active RN License BLS required ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications preferred Previous OB/Labor & Delivery experience required Inpatient nursing experience preferred Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills Ability to thrive in a rural and resourceful healthcare setting Previous tribal, rural, or critical access hospital experience is a plus Why Kotzebue?
