Inspire and support students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, working on a contract basis with a K-12 school setting near Eastover, SC. This important role runs through May 21, 2027, and is tailored for passionate educators dedicated to fostering individualized learning for visually impaired students. You will work onsite only, creating an engaging and accessible educational experience.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active South Carolina Visually Impaired (VI) Teacher Certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting K-12 students with visual impairments
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and student advocacy
• Flexible to work either full-time or part-time hours, as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support for students with visual impairments
• Adapt general education curricula to meet individualized needs
• Collaborate with general educators, special education staff, and families
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring
• Advocate for accessible learning tools and technology for students
• Lead and participate in team meetings, professional development, and related activities
