Nurse Practitioner

Job TitleEvaluates, examines, diagnoses, and treats patients in collaboration with their supervising and or substitute supervising physician according to established guidelines and protocols. Maintains and promotes the well-being of the patient providing care in both the in-patient and out-patient setting. Primarily Monday - Friday.Responsibilities include:Regular, consistent, on-site, and timely attendance.Ensuring that the assessment of the patient and the direct and indirect patient care delivered is in accordance with appropriate licensing board, hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, and all other professional standards of care.Managing the physical and psychological problems of the patient.Developing an educational process for the provision and coordination of patient care activities that promote and maintain health, foster self-care and improves outcomes.Communicating effectively with the physician and other healthcare providers to achieve desired outcomes and assure a continuous flow of patient care.Participating in Performance Improvement activities designed to enhance the quality of patient care, customer service, or practice efficiencies.Demonstrating leadership by utilizing the concepts inherent to the practice of the professional nurse.Providing for patient safety in compliance with hospital and physician practices policies.Assisting in the department's compliance with all regulatory agencies.Performing procedures, assisting in surgery, and providing care to the patient as per established guidelines.Directing and providing appropriate pre and post-operative care.Performing clinical responsibilities in a manner that maximizes patient care and outcomes.In collaboration with the physician: interviewing, evaluating, and assessing patients in the clinic setting. Providing recommendations for treatment.Collaborating with the supervising physician and or substitute supervising physician and members of the treatment team to achieve desired outcomes and to assure continuous flow of patient care.Documenting in the medical record.Demonstrating leadership by utilizing the concepts inherent to the practice of a professional physician assistant.Participating in Performance Improvement activities designed to enhance the quality of patient care, customer service, or practice efficiencies.Providing for patient safety in compliance with hospital and or physician practice policies.QualificationsEducation:Nurse Practitioner or better in MASTER OF SCIENCE.Registered Nurse or better in NURSING.Licenses & Certifications:BASIC LIFE SUPPORTDEACRNP PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHCRNP-LICENSECRNP-CERTEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
