Production Supervisor

Under the general direction of the Manager Production the Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of operators and technicians, coordinating workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety, security and operational protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Supervise and lead a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity Work as an operator on production line as well. Covering gaps in production due to higher volumes, vacations or call-ins Monitor daily operations, including scheduling, production targets, and workflow coordination to meet production goals effectively Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards to maintain product quality and consistency Coordinate with Engineering team to ensure proper maintenance and servicing of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support production needs Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement Identify training needs and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and knowledge Collaborate with management and safety representatives from cohabitating companies to develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures Ensure policies address regulatory requirements, industry standards, and specific needs of Sagent and cohabitating company. Collaborate with counterparts from cohabitating companies to develop comprehensive security protocols. Ensure protocols address access control, surveillance, visitor management, and emergency response. Ensure strict adherence to company standards, safety and security guidelines. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies and procedures among all employees and contractors within the facility. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly. Coordinate safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, tailored to the operational needs and risks associated with the facility. Ensure training includes emergency response procedures, hazard recognition, and safe work practices applicable to all cohabitating companies. Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by management.
