TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in San Luis Obispo, California, 93401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery/Postpartum License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Experience in both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Description: No first-time travelers accepted. Unit consists of 9 Labor and Delivery beds and 4 Postpartum beds. Typically, there are around 55 births per month. Candidates must have experience circulating for C-sections. Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum is required. Fetal monitoring system is in use. Electronic medical record system is Cerner. Charge nurse responsibilities exist, but charge nurses do not take patient assignments. Nurse Aides/OB techs are available on both day and night shifts. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Holidays will be scheduled in conjunction with permanent staff rotation. Scrub colors are provided by the facility. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7; however, after-hours services are managed by another provider. Common diagnoses include high-risk deliveries and patients 34 weeks and above. Birth plans are important and often followed by the patient population. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
