The Food and Nutrition Department on our Manhattan campus is seeking a Part time Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary healthcare time is 3-4 days a week with occasional weekend.
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition assessment and clinical nutrition services to residents in both long-term care and sub-acute care units. This role is essential in supporting resident health outcomes through individualized care planning regulatory documentation and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide clinical nutrition services for long-term and sub-acute care residents
- Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including MDS 3.0
- Develop implement and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide nutrition education to residents patients and family members as needed
- Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
- Conduct meal rounds to ensure quality safety and resident satisfaction
- Collaborate with nursing medical and rehabilitation staff to support resident care goals
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (ADA credential required)
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of MDS 3.0 and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
