Job TitleRadiation TherapistCompanyAllegheny Health NetworkJob DescriptionGeneral Overview:Treats patients, mentors, supervises work performed by therapy staff and contributes to the management of daily operations in Radiation Oncology.Essential ResponsibilitiesCoordinates daily staffing coverage, rotations and time usage in the treatment area.Reviews and maintains electronic medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance.Troubleshoots problems related to treatment equipment, patient schedules, and staffing.Performs patient simulations, delivers a prescribed radiation treatment, and assesses/educates patients according to specific department guidelines.Performs other duties as assigned or required which may include but not limited to mentoring employees/students and participating in hospital initiatives.QualificationsMinimum:Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration3 years' experience as a Radiation TherapistAdditional Employment Requirements:CPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificateDisclaimer: The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
