Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: 2 years License: Valid State RN license required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Strong teamwork and communication skills Description: The RN partners with residents and other care providers. The goal is to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment. Direct and indirect care are provided to residents. The facility has specialized units catering to specific needs. Key aspects include effective communication techniques. Understanding behaviors associated with cognitive impairments is crucial. It is essential to recognize these behaviors as valid communications. Care is tailored to meet the unique needs of the residents. Short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services are also available. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment. Candidates should be flexible to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
