Python Developer

Job Description

This BI Developer will need to bridge the gap between data engineering and application development. You'll build and maintain ETL pipelines, design data models, and develop internal tools using Django to surface insights across the organization. These insights are used to evaluate customer base, figure out trends, and better equip the organization with data that can assist leaders in scaling the business.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in BI development, data engineering, or a related role

• Strong SQL skills — complex queries, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning (Redshift or PostgreSQL preferred)

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (Python-based tooling, Airflow, or similar orchestration)

• Proficiency in Python 3.x

• Django development experience — models, views, templates, ORM, migrations, and admin customization

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts — star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension tables

• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices • Experience with Django REST Framework for building APIs

• Familiarity with Celery for async/scheduled task processing

• Exposure to front-end basics (Bootstrap, AG Grid, or similar) for building internal dashboards

• Experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda)

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Plotly, Tableau, or similar)

• Understanding of SAML/SSO authentication patterns
